* While I'm not a regular at Aan Dora, I am such a fan of these awesome ladies! Make-up artist Kathryn Brown is as good as it gets.  Trained by Chanel and Bobbi Brown (just to name a couple) she is a coup for this small, boutique salon. She knows the salon's make-up line (Glo Minerals) like the back of her hand, and can make any face look like a cover girl. Kathryn was my make-up artist for my wedding last November.   Through multiple consultations, she was tremendously patient. She helped steer me toward a look that was authentically me, but made me feel fabulous. While she skillfully recommended product, I never felt as though I was being pressured to buy. She was also able to work with the salon aesthetician to help get my skin in tip top shape for wedding day. Together, we transitioned me from the high end foundation I was using that was destroying my skin to more Glo products and I saw a huge improvement. Kathryn also did make-up for almost all of my wedding party, all of whom are STILL raving about how great she was.

*Aan Dora Salon is definitely the best kept secret on the South Shore. I saw the reviews online and booked an appointment. My stylist was going to be attending a cutting clinic in California shortly to keep up-to-date with the most current styles. I have long curly hair and I wanted it shaped up. I also wanted an idea for a new way to style it. She listened to what I asked for and gave me exactly that! I've gotten nice cuts elsewhere, but this is the first time EVER that I left a salon thrilled with the way someone else dried and styled it. This is day 2 and my hair has never looked better! It cost me $50 for the cut, but it LOOKS like a $50 cut too! I am a former hair stylist, and believe me, you will not regret trying them.
